Ushuaia Trip Overview
Experience the unique scenery of Tierra del Fuego Island with its lakes, rivers, vegetation and peat bogs. Following a 10-mile drive west of Ushuaia and across the valley from the Pipo River, you’ll arrive at Tierra del Fuego National Park. This 150,000-acre park extends from the Beagle Channel in the south along the Chilean border to Lago Fagnano in the north. Sections of the forest were damaged by fire long ago and today appear almost ghost-like with their stark pale gray trunks standing in contrast against the backdrop of lush green vegetation.
