Pass By: Tafi del Valle, Tafi del Valle, Province of Tucuman, Northern Argentina

Located 105 km from San Miguel de Tucumán, Tafí del Valle is the entrance to the Calchaquíes valleys and the most important tourist center in the province of Tucumán. In the middle of the mountains at 2,000 meters above sea level, it combines beautiful landscapes and an ideal climate with cultural attractions such as adobe buildings, stone walls and ceramic crafts. Tafí del Valle offers the chance to discover folklore, typical dances and the flavors of regional cuisine, renowned for its cheeses, sweets and dried fruit.

It is the place of the Jesuit San José de Lules, the path of the Yungas, Los Menhires and Tafí del Valle. You will visit the Jesuit chapel and the San José de Lules convent with a chapel and cloister. Route 307 marks the ascent to the valleys. The road passes through the Los Sosa river ravine, part of the natural reserve of the same name. As you continue you will see the El Indio monument.
