The history of Bodegas Nieto Senetiner dates back to 1888, when Italian immigrants founded it and sowed the first vineyards in Vistalba, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza province. The winery was developed in the hands of different families during the first decades of the last century, which provided the architectural form that is still preserved today.

In 1969, it was acquired by the Nieto Senetiner family, who expanded the facilities, beginning a new stage of growth, and in 1998 became part of the Río de la Plata Mill Business Group.

Vistalba Winery, founded by Carlos Pulenta, enters a life story that is the most important reference when evaluating the excellence of its wines.

Coming from an Italian family, Carlos Pulenta is the eldest son of Don Antonio Pulenta, one of the founders of Bodega Peñaflor, 80 years ago and it remained until 1997, when it was sold.

The winery is inspired by the Creole culture appealing to cutting-edge technology and paying homage to the traditional method of winemaking. It has been designed so that the entire manufacturing process is done by gravity and without the use of pumps

It was in 2009 when Alejandro Bulgheroni, linked through several projects with the agro-industrial sector since 1999, began his participation in Bodega Vistalba working together with Carlos in a common goal: “to elaborate world-renowned high-end wines, with marked identity and personality ”.

Bodega Kaiken, is the last bet of the prestigious Chilean winemaker: Aurelio Montes, who is a founding partner of Viña Montes (1986) located in the Colchagua Valley, Chile and; Montes USA (2006), currently producing wines from the Napa Valley, in the USA.
It is located in Vistalba, the wine heart of Luján de Cuyo, in an old cellar of 1930, which was founded by the Italian family: Calise. The total capacity of the winery is 6,000,000 liters. However, the total production of Kaiken is 1,800,000 liters. Concrete tanks are used for the fermentation and storage of wine. The 1,500 French oak barrels are stored in 4 different cellars. The grapes come from their vineyards distributed in 70 hectares in Agrelo and 150 hectares in the Uco Valley. It is named after the kaikenes (wild geese) that fly over Patagonia, between Chile and Argentina.
