Itinerary

Day 1: Mendoza

Stop At: Aeropuerto Internacional El Plumerillo (MDZ), Acceso A Aeropuerto Internacional Gabrielli F. J., Las Heras, Mendoza, Argentina
Upon arrival to Mendoza airport, you will have a private transfer to your hotel.

Welcome to Mendoza! Argentina’s main wine region and heartland of Malbec grape! Mendoza is also well-known for its world renowned mountains such as the Aconcagua (the highest mountain in the Americas), its outdoor activities and its breathtaking landscapes.

Day 2: Mendoza – Full-Day High Andes with trekking to Durazno Gorge

Stop At: Mendoza Province, Argentina
After breakfast, depart on a small-group guided tour to the Aconcagua Provincial Park, located 185 km or 115 miles away from the city of Mendoza. As the journey takes you along the emblematic route 7, you will begin to discover the beautiful mountains of Mendoza and its river. Not only will you enjoy the colourful transition of landscapes, but also some of the small villages that can be found along the way, such as Cacheuta, Potrerillos (and its water reservoir), Uspallata (a quaint little town) and Penitentes (a Sky Resort).

Pass By: Puente del Inca, Puente del Inca, Province of Mendoza, Cuyo
You will also visit “The Inca’s Bridge”, known for its curious natural formation! As your journey continues, you will go through the three mountain ranges: Pre Andes, the Front range and the Main range.

Pass By: Parque Provincial Aconcagua, Mendoza Argentina
Upon arrival to Aconcagua Provincial park in Horcones Valley, you will have the chance to go on a 2-hour hiking to Durazno Gorge or go on a short trail to an scenic lookout point (45 min). After enjoying some unique views of this natural environment framed by the majestic Aconcagua Mount you will start your journey back to Mendoza city. On the return drive, you will have time to have lunch in Uspallata (lunch is not included). You will return to your hotel in the late afternoon. Note: hiking difficulty is moderate

Day 3: Mendoza – Full-Day horseback riding at Quebrada del Condor

Stop At: La Quebrada del Condor, Ruta provincial 89, M5561, Mendoza, Argentina
In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel (shared service) and will head southwest for about 1:45 hours to reach La Quebrada del Cóndor – Condor Gorge- in Potrerillos. Upon arrival, you will get ready to enjoy a horseback riding in the mountains. For about 2 to 4 hours, you will horseback ride through different mountain trails shaped by native animals and people living in small settlements in the mountains nearby. These people are our “gauchos”, locally called “baqueanos”, and they are amazing horse riders. As you explore the area by horse, you will enjoy the spectacular natural environment on the Andes while learning about the region from your local guide. Back in the Ranch house or “Puesto” you will enjoy a delicious “Asado” (barbecue) which we will share with the local family. You will return to Mendoza in the evening. IMPORTANT: if you don’t enjoy horseback riding, we may replace it for a trekking in the mountains when requested in advance.

Day 4: Mendoza / Santiago De Chile

Stop At: Mendoza Bus Terminal, ALBERDI S/N, M5519 Guaymallén, Mendoza, Argentina
At the appropriate time, you will have a private transfer to Mendoza bus station where you will board your bus to Santiago. Please remember to keep your passport handy since you will be crossing an international border.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Estacion Bus Chile, Av Libertador Bernardo O’Higgins 3614-3830, Santiago, Estación Central, Región Metropolitana, Chile
After an 8-hour panoramic bus ride through the Andes range you will reach the city of Santiago de Chile. Upon arrival at the bus station, you will have a private transfer to your hotel.

Welcome to Santiago! Home of Pisco Sour, variety of seafood and marvellous Cabernet Sauvignon. Santiago is the perfect base to explore Chile – the country of the extremes – or just enjoy a few days between the mountains and the ocean. After check-in, the rest of the day will be yours to relax and enjoy the first glances of this beautiful city.

Day 5: Santiago De Chile – Half-Day City Tour

Stop At: Santiago, Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile
Enjoy breakfast before pickup at your hotel and explore Santiago’s most significant sights. On this tour (shared service) you will learn about the most memorable events of Chile’s history as you visit the main attractions of Santiago city. Some of the featured sites you will visit are as follows:

You will also get to see the financial area located in the neighborhoods of Las Condes and Vitacura. At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel around noon time. The rest of the day will be free to enjoy as you wish.

Day 6: Santiago De Chile – Full-Day Hike to “El Morado” Natural Monument

Stop At: Cajon del Maipo, Cajon del Maipo, Santiago Metropolitan Region
After breakfast, you will meet with your private guide at your hotel and will have a transfer to Lo Valdes, small village located 65 kms away from Santiago, in the mountain area of “Cajón del Maipo”.
Duration: 10 hours

Pass By: Monumento Natural El Morado, Ruta G-25, Km. 93, San Jose de Maipo Chile
Upon arrival to Cajon del Maipo, you will go on a beautiful (and not so demanding) hike to a hanging glacier inside the “El Morado” Natural Monument. The first part of the hike is on a smooth slope (for about 2.8 km or 1.7 miles). As you make your way to Panimavidas sector, you will be able to spot streams of mineral water along the way. Afterwards, you will hike for 2 km or 1.2 miles on a flat area to approach El Morado lagoon where you will be able to take a break and have a picnic (box-lunch is included). From there, you may walk 2 km or 1.2 miles more to closely admire San Francisco glacier. During the hike, the background will be framed by the amazing Mt. San Francisco and Mt. Morado. After enjoying the final views of the day, you will return to your hotel in Santiago. (Hike duration: 5 to 6 hours – difficulty: low or moderate). IMPORTANT: During May and September the above mentioned hiking is not available so our hike takes place at “La Campana” National Park.

Day 7: Santiago De Chile

Stop At: Airport Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez, Aeropuerto SCL, Pudahuel, Región Metropolitana, Chile
At the appropriate time, you will have a transfer to the international airport.
NOTES: The order of the tours in the itinerary may change depending on availability. Our itinerary is pretty flexible so if you need to add any extra tours or extra nights we can quote them for you. Just make sure to let us know in advance using the ‘Special Requirements’ box while booking.
