Itinerary

We stroll through the forest and nearby paths in search of the most emblematic birds in the area. In La Lorenza there are about 300 species of birds. Here it is possible to sight the golden-crested woodpecker, the robust woodpecker, band-tailed manakins, different species of tanagers and euphonias, the rough-billed hummingbird and the red-ruffed fruit-crow with its scarlet chest, among others.
With a little luck and patience (increased chances during the Argentinean winter – June to August), it is possible to spot two species of toucans less popular than the toco toucan but of fascinating coloration, such as the chesnut-eared aracari and the spot-billed toucanet, the last one endemic to the Atlantic Forest.
Led by ornithological guides specialized in the Atlantic Forest, this excursion is suitable for amateurs as well as beginners in bird watching. The visit culminates on our deck with a panoramic view of the Paraná River with something to drink and a local appetizer.
