What to Expect When Visiting Iguazú, Misiones, Argentina

Itinerary

Stop At: La Lorenza Iguazu, calle sin nombre y s/n, N3370, Misiones, Argentina
Once we arrive at La Lorenza, we go deep down a path in the forest, rich in different plant and bird species, many of them endemic to the ecoregion. Bromeliads, orchids, ferns and hummingbirds will escort us throughout the
whole journey. We will have the chance to visit a typical local house and meet Moreno, a local farmer, who loves to introduce travelers to the local beverage universe: the mate. In front of a small wood fire we will display the journey of this infusion, from the
plant to the cup. An interesting version of this drink will be offered while we share little history and cultural facts: the Guaraní culture, the influence of the Jesuits and the production of the infusion today.
After a 2 km (1.25 miles) guided hike, we will stop for a rest on a private deck that looks out over the magnificent Paraná River. Our visit ends at this privileged spot with a view to the extensive Paraguayan fields, amidst drinks, cheese trays and stories about local legends.
