El Chalten Trip Overview
An unmissable experience that combines navigation and trekking visiting from El Chaltén the northern area of Los Glaciares National Park and the provincial reserve Lago del Desierto.
We leave from El Chaltén, traveling by bus, the 36 Km that separate us from the Desert Lake by a panoramic road with permanent beautiful images of forests, mountains and glaciers, bordering the Vueltas River.
Then we sail watching the Huemul and Crestón glaciers to disembark in the Vespignani Glacier sector, which is located in the middle of the lake. Once there, the person in charge of the activity will receive them, who will explain the four options of trails available in the reserve.
The most demanding path will take us an hour and a half, to overcome 700 meters of unevenness and access the Mirador del Doctor viewpoint. A view of the Glacier, where you will be able to appreciate its immensity and beauty through it through the lateral moraine.
After a snack we begin our return to El Chaltén.
