Departing from El Calafate in the morning, 80 km will be recorded until reaching the Perito Moreno Glacier footbridges, inside the Los Glaciares National Park.
Starting the tour we will have views of Lake Argentino with its Redonda Bay, located on the right of the route. In the first 40km the landscape of the Patagonian steppe predominates, and then, in the area of the National Park, it passes to an arboreal vegetation of the Notofagus family (Lengas, Notofagus, Coihues, Guindos and Ñires). Before arriving at the Park, a stop is made with the first panoramic views of the south wall of the Glacier. In the access the entrance is paid and 40 km will be registered until the parking, place where the route that leads to the footbridges begins. The tour of them is free until the time of reunion. At 146m is the Main Balcony, from where you have an impressive view of the north and south walls of the Glacier.
For lunch the tourist has a restaurant and a Snack Bar.
Optionally, you can combine this excursion with the one-hour drive along the northern edge of Moreno Sur or Nautical Safari. Departure at 09:00 hs with return at 5:00 p.m.
