Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Pass By: Cerro Calafate, El Calafate, Santa Cruz, Argentina
Once all the passengers are picked up, the ascent through the Huyliche and Calafate hills begins, travelling in a comfortable 4 x 4 discovering the geology and paleontology of Patagonian steppe until get into the “Estancia 25 de Mayo”.
Stop At: Estancia 25 de Mayo Ushuaia 200, El Calafate 9405 Argentina
Once we get to Estancia 25 de Mayo we will continue through the course of the Calafate stream, recognizing the change in the flora as we continue the ascent until we arrive to the post of the Villalba family, first inhabitants of the residence. We will learm about the history of the family while we observe the landscape around us.
We will make a short trekking around the reserve, where we will explore and discover archaeological sites that go back to the era of the glaciations. Once inmersed in the steppe, we will see different species inhabiting the place, while the guides tell us about them and their way of life.
Returning to the gorge, we will enjoy a delicious stew in “La Selección”, and then we return to El Calafate.
